Man, Shaun T really kicked my butt with Cardio Power & Resistance today! I had to stop during the stretches, because the arches of my feet were cramping. I quickly remembered I'd left the insoles in and felt a little better after I removed them, but the damage had already been done. I also had what I think were back spasms and had to rest during some of the exercises. Other than that, I felt great afterwards . . . until the soreness set in. I had to have my husband rub icy hot on my lower back before I climbed into bed! I can hardly wait until my body adjusts to this exercise program, and I start feeling less sore after workouts. I'm also curious to see how this will affect my running . . .
After my workout, I took the ornaments off the tree, so it could go out for tomorrow's pick up. I missed my mid-morning snack and still hadn't had lunch yet, and my brain wasn't functioning properly; it took me far longer to tackle that than it should have and not just because I was sore! When I finally had time to get something to eat, it still took a lot of effort to heat and eat. If this is how my body functions after eating off schedules, I don't know how anorexics can function at all! But, I digress. It rained most of the afternoon, so I napped until my husband kicked me out of the family room so he could work out. Oh! As I rolled back the rug in front of the TV where we've been working out, I was pleasantly surprised this morning to see he'd purchased and secured some mats. This should help lower the impact during our plyometrics and other Insanity activities. Gotta love him! That is all.
